Let's be honest - the phrase "I have nothing to wear" just means that we are tired of working our minds on creating more outfits with the same pieces we already own. We all know what a constant struggle it is to chose a perfect outfit. I would describe it in 3 phases: first is when we start choosing pieces in our minds and imagine how it's going to look on us, then later on, we open our closet, pull those pieces out and actually try them. We don't like the outfit and try mixing and matching, going through every single piece we can think of at that moment. Then the third phase hits: we sit on the bed, stare at nothing and panic. Eventually we end up losing a lot of time and wearing the first outfit we can grab. Sometimes we don't even have time for all of that and have to go from work to a date night or from a coffee shop to a bar. In this case, we need to think of an outfit that will work for both places, for the whole day. Even worse, right?! In this post I am going to write about the importance of jewelry and highlight some outfit details that will help to seamlessly transition from a day outfit to a night outfit and make these super-important "life decisions" easier. The importance of jewelry in the outfit is huge. Right jewelry can make your outfit perfect or totally ruin it. Personally I believe in statement jewelry, that is simple, classy, bold and confident. As the other details in your outfit, it expresses your uniqueness, your mood, your character. And of course, you want it to be of high quality (real gold, please!) and fairly priced. But luckily for us - jewelry lovers, AuRate New York offers beautiful collections of rings, bracelets, necklaces and earrings, in real gold and most importantly, with ethically sourced materials (we all know the importance of sustainable fashion). What can be better, right? Well, they also give back to economically disadvantaged school children with each purchase of our jewelry. If this is not enough to impress you, I don't know what is.
Below I created some day-to-night looks, paired with AuRate New York jewelry:
Denim Skirt and Top: Mini denim skirts are back (yay for me) and can be easily incorporated into another day-to-night look. Pair it with a crop-top and hoops, white sneakers and a blazer. You can wear a blazer for the day and ditch it for the night, change to pumps and choose Flower Climber earrings instead!
Little Black Dress: The most universal thing in our closet, little black dress is a perfect example of a day-to-night ensemble. For a day look, pair it with sneakers and AuRate New York Flower Earring Studs. For the night, change the sneakers to pumps and choose a more bold pair of Long Bar Earrings earrings. Blazer can also be worn during the day and ditched at night.
